The youngest of eleven Dougherty children, Jeanne grew up in Hampton, Virginia. Proud mother of three tall Hokie sons, she’s actively adjusting to them being out of the house. Jeanne’s a runner who enjoys spending time with her friends, writing, and reading, especially by the ocean. Her passion for Cookie Text is fueled by her love of people.

I can remember making chocolate chip cookies before I made any other kind of baked anything. I didn’t know you could use a mixer, so I stirred the mix with a wooden spoon and it seemed like it took forever.
When I started out I had no idea how much Cookie Text would influence my and my sons’ lives. After twelve years I can say that Cookie Text taught my children many lessons about kindness and compassion, helping to shape them into thoughtful young men. Each day I am joyful that I get to own a business that helps people be kind to one another.
